In a fast-paced world, discovering a passion that allows one to slow down, express themselves, and create something truly special is a precious gift. For me, that gift takes the form of painting. Whether it's a vivid landscape, a star-filled night, or a delicate portrait of beloved fictional characters like "Himu" and “Rupa”, painting has become an integral part of my life. In this blog, I'll share the journey of how my love for painting began and the happiness it brings to my mind.

Discovering the World of Colors

My love for painting traces back to my early childhood when I first picked up a crayon and brought vibrant colors to my walls. As I experimented with various crayons and paints, I found myself immersed in a world of limitless creativity. Each stroke on the canvas became an exciting moment, transforming my thoughts into tangible art. Among my favorite artists, Sir Van Gogh and his masterpiece "Starry Night" hold a special place, and I even attempted to recreate it, knowing it requires improvement. 

Painting as Self-Expression

Painting has given me a unique platform for self-expression. It allows me to communicate feelings and thoughts that often I can’t express within words. Whether experiencing joy, sorrow, or excitement, the canvas becomes my mirror, where emotions flow freely. Art keeps my imagination alive and engaged, and I am genuinely passionate about it. I can almost say, "I live and breathe art," as I spend each day contemplating, working with, and connecting with fellow artists and art enthusiasts through social media platforms.

Finding Solace and Mindfulness

Through the hustle and bustle of daily life, painting has become a therapeutic escape for my mental well-being. When I dive myself in the creative process, time seems to fly. It's a form of mindfulness, where I focus solely on the present moment, leaving behind the worries of yesterday and the uncertainties of tomorrow. The harmony of the brush and the gentle strokes of paint on the canvas create a serene artistic atmosphere, bringing peace to my mind and heart.

A Journey of Learning and Exploration

Though my true love for art blossomed in my early twenties, I can pinpoint the exact moment when my passion for painting ignited. It was my close friend's upcoming birthday, and I wanted to give him something truly unique and original. Painting emerged as the perfect way to convey 

my emotions with a touch of creativity. Despite having an exam the next day, I managed to carve out extra time to create a tangible painting that would make his day truly memorable.

I vividly remember the scene I painted—a tranquil moonlit night with a grand moon hovering over a hill, while a simple boy sat under a cherry blossom tree, counting stars. This concept held profound significance for my introverted friend, and his appreciation and encouragement inspired me to delve deeper into the world of art, marking the beginning of my artistic journey. From a young age, I loved drawing and using crayons to create murals on walls, expressing my emotions. I was influenced by other artists who focused on developing scenes, going beyond raw emotion. Today, my love for art combines both raw emotion and a deep desire to convey messages about saving our natural world and the planet. Although I lack a formal art degree, I truly embrace my passion for painting, continuing on a journey of growth and learning. I explore various styles, experiment with different ideas, and study the works of great artists. Each brushstroke represents an opportunity to learn, refine my skills, and expand my artistic horizons.

 

Connecting with the Art Community

One of the most delightful aspects of my passion for painting is connecting with like-minded individuals in the art community. Sharing my work online has introduced me to a supportive and encouraging group of fellow artists who inspire me to push the boundaries of my creativity. By inspiring others through my paintings, I hope to ignite a spark of creativity in them, encouraging the joy of self-expression. Art possesses the power to touch lives, evoke emotions, and create meaningful connections. Through sharing my love for painting, I aim to ignite a passion for creativity in others, helping them find their artistic vibe.
