Platforms: In the world of gaming, choices of platforms can significantly shape the experiences as platforms serve like an arena, where gamers embark on epic challenges, test their skills and get the chance to connect with fellow gamers from around the world.  

 

Pc gaming: This is considered as one of the versatile platforms as gamers can mod, upgrade and customize their pcs according to their own needs and the combination of mouse of keyboard works like an absolute weapon by providing pixel-precision control for genres like first person shooters and strategical games.  

 

Console: While consoles are not mod able or upgradable like pcs, these are the most comfortable ones. Consoles are focused for gaming only but sometimes they do offer some sort of extra services as well. Most of the consoles do come with some exclusive titles which draws the gamers towards them for their exclusivity and immense experience. Controllers which is must to control a console is also known to be one of the most comfortable systems to play games for shape and ease of use.  

 

Mobile gaming: This is the new era which got introduced not more than a decade ago and now this platform is getting used by almost everybody because of its ease of access. Mobile games can be played anywhere on the go. In recent times, due to the prices of smartphones, the numbers of games in this platform increased a lot. In app stores one can find any sort of games, from basic puzzle games to extremely complex simulation games. Due to the usage of touchscreen and gyro sensors, mobile gaming has introduced some innovative to interact in-game. Moreover, multiplayer games work like a social media for young generations nowadays, in which one can to friends and strangers of virtual realms.  

 

Cloud gaming: Cloud gaming has introduced a new dimension in the gaming scene. Platforms like Google Stadia and NVIDIA GeForce Now, provided something that no other platform could ever delivered to the low-end computing system users. People can now use almost whatever they own with a computing power to play games which was made for only high-end pcs or consoles.  

 

Future career: Gaming can offer some seriously bright future at the very moment and there are some explained down below.  

1. Professional gamer: With the rise of competitive games, professional gamers also known as esports players are getting value like the actual players of the real world. And by participating in esports tournaments, a lot of professional gamers are earning their livelihood. 

2. Game tester: Before releasing a game for the mass people, a game developing company always wants to test the game for bug and glitch fixes and for this, there is no exception other than checking the whole game physically, also this process is very crucial for game developing company because a smooth gaming experience is all the regular consumers wish for and for a smooth gaming experience, there is no other exception than testing the game thoroughly before release.  

3. Streamer/ Content Creator: Streams and contents are becoming a great source of income for both the gamers and the developing companies nowadays. A streamer can stream their own gameplay in platforms like Twitch or YouTube and can earn from them my donations and monetizing their channels. Moreover, the game developing companies nowadays use streamers as their marketing employees by providing them early access to a lot of upcoming things which attracts a large number of people in playing the games. Streamers do sometimes work as a tester also because no one can understand a game better than a gamer for obvious.  

4. Esports coach: Some previously well-known professional players are now joining big gaming organizations as coaches and analysts to make their players’ performance improve and analyse opponent strategies to do well in the competitive games.  

As gaming industry is improving in every single second, new opportunities and career choice for gamers will also show their glimpse in the new future. 

 

Social perception: While now a huge portion of the society is getting used to with gamers, but a humongous portion of the society is still stereotype about this section and some stereotype thoughts are explained down below along with their cracks.  

1. Gamers are socially isolated: “Gamers are introvert” it’s like an always spoken verse which is no way to near to be true. Almost all gamers maintain an online and an offline life with a proper balance and some gamers use games as social medias to communicate with friends in the leisure time. Moreover, these sort of balance, instead of doing bad according to the stereotypes, does something really good which is known as time management, a very crucial deed to improve one's career. 

2. Gaming is just time waste: Almost all of the stereotype society thinks gaming is a frivolous activity that has no use in personal growth or productivity. Whereas it is considered that gamers are one of the great problem-solvers along with act as a strategical thinker.  

3. Gaming is a kids’ only task: Another major stereotype thought is, gaming is only for kids or teenagers. Whereas almost all of the games nowadays come with an age restriction.     

 

4. Gamers are unsuccessful: As I stated earlier that, the career choice for gamers are increasing every minute now. Some stereotype people still thinks that gamers are unsuccessful where gamers are making a lot more than those crap stereotypes can only dream of.  

Gaming industry is in its developing form still now. Let it grow up properly then gamers will love to crack these mindsets.
